Thank you, Robert Jordan

"Let the dragon ride again on the winds of time"

Yesterday I went to dragonmount to get updated on the latest news of Robert Jordan. A black screen with a message that turned my whole body cold met me. Robert Jordan, real name James Oliver Rigney Jr, had past away on September 16.

After being diagnosed with the rare blood desease amyloidosis in 2005, he gave us hope as he never quit fighting. He updated us on his health, and was sure to answer his fans' questions as often as he could. I had started hoping he would get through when I read that he was gone.

Thank you for cheering up a third of my life with events and characters that made my heart fly. I've drawn pictures, I've learned most of the poems by heart. I still haven't figured out who killed Asmodean :).

My warmest and most sincere thanks to Harriet, Wilson and the others who stood you by till the end and who somehow will end your fantastic series with A Memory of Light, hopefully just the way you wanted it to be.

Thank you, Robert Jordan.

Madeline L'Engle passed recently, too, in case you haven't heard. :(

No, I hadn't. Afraid to say I haven't even heard of her, but I'm sad to hear it either way.

She is well worth reading. "A Wrinkle in Time" would be a good place to start.

I hadn't heard about that... glad I came to this page! A Wrinkle in Time was one of my favorite books ever. I know they made a movie about it but I don't want to ruin the imagery in my head...

I could tell you who killed Asmodean, if you want.

I have read the Wheel of Time FAQ and lots of other theories, more or less loony , but if you know with absolute certainty who did it, I think I'd like to know. Send me a private message, as to not spoil anything for those who want to figure it out by themselves ^_^.

I don't know, like, out of the Dragon's mouth know, but I've read the books several times and I think the answer is very clear.
